Damien Goutte-Gattat is a biocurator and ontology editor at the University of Cambridge. He works for FlyBase, the biological database for the model organism Drosophila melanogaster, and is one of the maintainers of the Drosophila Anatomy Ontology. The need to solve some compatibility issue with the arm64 architecture inadvertently made him one of the core developers of the Ontology Development Kit. Outside of his normal work, he writes small pieces of free software to scratch his own itches. A privacy advocate, he used to participate in the London CryptoParties in the pre-Covid era and contributes regularly to the GnuPG project.
