Nicholas Pawelk
Nicholas M. Pawelk serves as Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Risk Officer of Coastal Community Bank. Nicholas joined Coastal in 2020 and supports the oversight of BSA/AML/OFAC, Regulatory Compliance, and Enterprise Risk Management for the commercial bank and the Banking-as-a-Service Fintech platform . Nicholas also leads several technology innovation programs for Coastal and is the resident subject matter expert in blockchain/cryptocurrency and decentralized finance technologies. Prior to joining Coastal, Nicholas was a Senior Manager at EY in the Regulatory Compliance Consulting Practice, IT Program Manager at Silicon Valley Bank and Attorney at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, LLP. He received a Bachelors in Finance and International Business from Quinnipiac University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Nicholas also serves as an Adviser to Flux, a blockchain and decentralized Web3 project.
